16 Hour Work Days Are NO Fun

iStock_000009700656XSmallThings are changing around here rather quickly again.

I’ll try to be brief.  In fact, that’s sort of the point of this post.

I really enjoy running this site but as of right now it’s a one man crew and there’s some changes at work that have taken up most of the spare time I had to work on this site.  Coupled with the fact that I’ll be relocating and changing jobs in the next couple of months means that I simply don’t have the time.

So…

What does that mean for Spec Fic Daily?  The site will still be here.  New books will still be posted.  It just means that I won’t be able to guarantee new books for Kindle, Kobo, and Nook every day.

Authors will still be able to submit their books to the site and for the time being, these are the only new books you’ll get.  Luckily, we get a good amount of submissions throughout the week.  Expect that there may be a day with no new books followed by a day with 5-6 new books.

In short, other than the lack of my chosen “featured books” not much else is changing for now.  Hopefully things will return to normal sometime in late Spring.

Thanks everyone for making this site what it is!

All the best with your new situation. Let me take this opportunity to thank you for a great site, and your service to the community of avid readers. I cannot offer to help out myself, but would you be able to use volunteer assistance? Perhaps someone out there is able. Regards, Daniel

Hi Daniel, thanks for the kind words, volunteers aren’t really needed at this time but thanks for the idea.

Awesome site. I love the fact that I can find horror and dark fantasy with a single filter.

Hope your move goes smoothly. As someone who runs a tiny Google+ community myself (much less sophisticated than your site) it’s a ton of work. Appreciate it!
